Gratitude

My thanks and appreciation to the Fayette County Conservation Board for their quick work to “recover” Echo Valley State Park after last week’s flooding. I was not expecting it to look as good as it does already. Thank you so very much!

I would guess the gravel “boat ramp” is there to stay and I understand that.

As for fish… I was only at the water for a minute or two and I saw no movement - not even chubs or shiners. Fish may be there. I just did not see them.

Now for something different -

Occasionally you may see what appears to be a pretty white swan or maybe a pair. Look closely at those birds. If they have orange bills they are likely mute swans. Mute swans are non-native and aggressive toward native waterfowl. I much prefer our native trumpeter swans.
