Unusual Pictures and Not So Unusual

During a much needed wander in a favorite timber I found some unusual picture compositions along with ordinary subjects that caught my interest. Let’s begin with the not-often-seen images.

When I spotted these brown mayapple leaves I had to point a lens at them. Their shape reminds me of a starfish… maybe a starfish in the middle of a timber?

So many orange dots in a sea of green really stuck out to me causing me to pause for pictures. These baby spiders were very tiny and some were dropping off the web. Maybe I was lucky when I found them? As I look at them now, they remind me a tiny tick I found crawling on my leg when I got home. Spiders are OK, ticks give me the creeps!

And since I saw them and liked them, I photographed these oxeye daisies. For those wondering, oxeye daisies are non-native plants in North America.
