At 0626 Tomorrow Morning

At 0626 tomorrow morning it will be eight weeks ago that Mom took her last breath ending her health challenges. She is in a better place.

As much as I did not want to see her struggle, I miss her. So often there are triggers that bring back that empty feeling, knowing I cannot pick up my phone or stop by the house. Today’s activities included a strong trigger.

For the first time this summer I went trout fishing. Not only did I go trout fishing, but I caught trout too. Catching was the trigger. Mom enjoyed a meal of trout every so often during the summer, depending on my catching success rate. As I was holding my fish I was thinking of dropping one off for Mom, then reality hit again. The same thing happens when I find mushrooms - she is not there to share with. Dang… I hate that feeling.

Oh well, Kristy and I will enjoy these trout. No doubt they will be delicious. Not to be greedy, but I may try for more!
