Images From Anne’s Garden
Several years ago our Soil and Water Conservation District Commissioners decided to create a “test plot” to showcase pollinator habitat. Commissioner Anne led the project and the display was named “Anne’s Garden.”
Each time we have a meeting during the warm weather seasons I spend a few minutes exploring Anne’s garden. Today’s wanderings produced a number of images of wild plants and pollinators.
Like any “wild” area, the plant or pollinator list is not perfect. Still, what was seen today in Anne’s Garden would not be seen in a typical monoculture grassed yard. This area is good for the environment since every little bit of “wild” habitat helps.
Please feel free to explore Anne’s Garden at the NRCS Office in Waverly.
