Bird Photos

Some days my outdoor photography efforts are challenging. Other days, like today, nature photography opportunities were plentiful.

American white pelicans were the first subjects I pointed my lens at. Pelican after pelican swam or flew by, with a couple catching small fish within camera range.

After watching the pelicans I then found and photographed a great blue heron. My time with this bird was very brief.

Perhaps the most exciting photo-shooting was at a great horned owl nest. Momma owl is raising two little owls that are not so little any more.
