Barred Owl and Northern Harriers, But No Short-eared Owls

My wildlife searches for today included barred owls and short-eared owls. Somehow I spotted a barred owl as I was slowly driving at Sweet Marsh. The bird did not allow close, clear views, so I did the best I could.

Later several of us waited and watched for short-eared owls to make their sunset views/flights. Seeing short-eared owls did not happen, but many northern harriers put on distant shows.

Finally, this image likely means little to others. To me the scene is inviting and calm… a scene that draws me in wondering what I might find in the timber.
