Point of View Mattered

Early this morning my progress stopped when I noticed two mating moths in our grass near my truck. I grabbed my camera and macro equipment, knelt down, composed my image and pressed the shutter release button. My first picture of the moths was technically acceptable, but not what I would consider a nice composition of the colorful moths.

By continuing to use the same macro equipment, but just by changing my camera position to “eye level” with the moths, I was able to record a much better view of the two moths. The only challenges were setting my camera in the wet grass and getting up after kneeling down!
