When Sleep Eludes Me
For a long time, a very long time, I have had difficulty sleeping through the night. For reasons unknown to me, my body and mind are ready to tackle the day before the day even arrives. A 3:00AM wake-up is normal for me.
When today arrived in my mind I did my best to hold off on getting up. But, eventually I had too many things running through my head to stay down any longer. Since it was not light out yet, I watched the late night/early morning sky, walked a bit to get my steps in, and shot some photos of corn.

Around mid-morning I headed out to try a little fishing. Equipment and bait-wise I was prepared. Access to the water was next to impossible. Since I had my camera with me I shot some late summer photos of the Iowa outdoors instead. Noticed the intricate detail in the giant ragweed. Wow!
