The Things I Saw Today

Another day has come and again I was blessed with interesting wildlife observations.

As I was performing largemouth bass size assessments a ruddy duck flew past me and settled down near cattails not too far away. My fishing tackle was quietly set down on my canoe and replaced with my camera. I managed to capture a few shots before the ruddy duck flew away again. What are the chances? Why a ruddy duck today? How come here and gone? I have no answers.

Since I mentioned fish size assessing, following were a couple of many catches. I had been catching many smaller bass (quantity). As my friend Arley taught me, move locations for quality. I did move and it worked. Larger bass started coming to my canoe.

During my day I also found and photographed flowers in the rain and a blue dasher dragonfly that had just emerged - also in the rain.
