When Gramps is in Charge of Four Grandsons

Doubt was running rampant - at least I think it was - as this Gramps was in charge of four grandsons today. Grandma checked on me and the boys as did their Momma. We had no trouble and much fun. Our agenda for the day was:

• Gramps made breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, and English muffins,

• We lost a tooth in a muffin,

• We fed Jason’s chickens,

• We checked the river level at the cabin and learned that we had tree limbs to cut up due to wind,

• We returned to the cabin with a chainsaw, cut up the limbs, and cleaned things up,

• We found golden oyster mushrooms,

• We worked on the pontoon boat (now ready for the river when levels stabilize)

• Gramps made lunch,

• We rode the four-wheeler,

• We went back to the river and took a fishing boat out,

• We returned to the house where the youngest fell asleep (he wasn’t supposed to).

We had fun!!!! It was a great day with many memories being made (and five tired humans).

• Tonight some of us will sleep outside in a tent.
