Calendar Image? And Invasive or Not - Wow… So Pretty!
During a mid-week road trip I took a few minute pit-stop at a prairie site along I-35. The prairie was filled with native and non-native wildflowers - in fact there may have been a dominance of invasive plant species. Native or not, the many scenes were pretty enough to photograph. (The clouds and light rain really helped with the scenes.)
American Goldfinch on Nodding Thistle - Image 988803
The first image recorded featured an American goldfinch on nodding thistles in front of wild parsnips. Two out of three are not really good to have around. Put it all together and the scene might be pretty enough for a calendar.
Following is a sampling of other images recorded during the brief stop at the prairie.
