In Search Of… Back to My Roots

Way back when, a long time ago, I began to take outdoor photography serious by focusing on wildflowers. My initial efforts centered on ordinary wildflowers. Over time I expanded my searches with my lenses beyond flowers to wildlife and scenic images. Today I concentrated again on wildflowers, but only on more uncommon species.

During my hike I found two plant species I had not seen before and will feature them here. Included in my photos will be one common species - a wild columbine - that was my first of the 2026 wildflower season.

Over the years I have seen many plants constricted by autumn leaves. Today I found a bloodroot leaf constricted by an acorn shell.

And, since it was pretty, I will include a woodland and river image too.
