More Cooperative Neighbors
As I drove a gravel road early this afternoon I spotted a green heron in shallow water not too far from my Jeep. As often happens, as soon as I pointed a lens at it, the bird tensed up. The tense photo only documents I saw what I said I spotted. (Not a good photo.)

Then, a split-second later the green heron took flight helping to create a headless heron photo. (Another bad picture, but important for the story.)

Because of the green heron and the failed photos I then noticed a pair of Eastern kingbirds not too far away. Since I was already shooting pictures of birds in the area, I then began photographing the Eastern kingbirds. The pair cooperated by providing multiple opportunities for pictures - such as fluttering low over the water as they fed on insects and then landing on aquatic vegetation where the bird experienced a wet rear-end/tail area after this photo was taken.
