Sleep Demons to Flames
My sleep demons made a very early appearance this morning. Instead of tossing and turning in bed, I got up, bundled up, and started burning our pollinator habitat before the wind kicked up. (I called my controlled burn in to dispatch.)
As I was burning, I noticed how interesting the flame patterns were and recorded a few of them.
I found the first image very interesting. Flames were fast encroaching on the dry grasses, soon to wipe away their existence. What once was plant life would soon be ash. And then they were gone.

Hopefully our wildflowers will be as plentiful or more this year, after the burn.
