Pardon the Repetition
Many times this winter I have shared images of trumpeter swans. Hopefully most viewers appreciate the beauty of these magnificent birds, even if I frequently include swan images in my daily posts. Pardon the repetition.

For me, not only are the swans pretty, but they hold a special meaning since I was involved in their reintroduction many years ago. From the handful of birds released at key areas around the state, to where we are now with swans being plentiful along the rivers (during winter), we are experiencing a wildlife success story that is so beautiful. Even after years of observing and photographing swans, I am still in awe of them.

Today my swan viewing included the birds in flight, on the Shell Rock River, and feeding in a snowy field. I shot photos share some now.

While driving home from the swans I spotted a pair of red-tailed hawks in a tree. I wonder if these two are a mated pair. I am guessing they are, but cannot prove it.
