Pictures in the Cold

Recently I shared images of a horned larks found on gravel roads. Seeing them on the road is certainly typical, but in my opinion a view of them looks better with the little birds in a snowy field. Today I had an opportunity to photograph this horned lark on a small snow drift in a field. And, this “horns” were visible!

In my travels I also saw many ring-necked pheasants. These two hens were very close and made for a decent picture.
