Two Versions of One Day

What a change we have had for this first day without Daylight Savings Time. We woke to calm, brisk conditions with a heavy coat of frost and even thicker fog. What began as a slow day for me, until I looked out the window, quickly transitioned to a photographically busy morning. I did not want to miss out on fog photos!

Since I was home I recorded a few “fog” images here on the ponderosa.

So that I didn’t miss any opportunities, I then went to the cabin to document the limited visibility of the morning.

Not long after I was on the water the sun burned through the fog and view on the river completely changed to a typical autumn morning. This view will not be repeated for another year as the leaves really dropped today.

Before I ended my photography for the morning I did shoot a couple of autumn “still life” images too.
