Commonalities with Dolores

One day last week a close friend of mine made me aware of a children’s book written by the daughter of my new friend (as of this morning). The story was about the excitement of capturing a large snake and learning details about the reptile.

After hearing our adventure was now in a book, I visited my new friend (Dolores) - without invitation - to see the book and to get to know her better. What a good decision that was! I learned of commonalities between my new friend and me and will share associated images here.

According to Dolores, her daughter shares an interest in outdoor photography and has a fondness for great blue herons. Ironically, I had photographed a heron earlier in the morning as shown here.

As we were introducing ourselves I mentioned how I had shot a photo in the parking lot before trying to find her apartment. This was the simple image of an autumn maple leaf in a white spruce.

The fellow who told me about my new friend mentioned she was an artist with very nice paintings. As I studied her work I noticed a painting that had a resemblance to a photo I made a week or two ago. I shared these images that day, but am including them again for Dolores to see.

Again for Dolores - I am sharing one of my favorite photos from the previous few months.

Thank you again Mark for getting this friendship started. I appreciate it!!
