I Made A Cover (and more)

Hot off the press! The Bremer County 2027-2028 Fact Book published by Waverly Newspapers is now available. When you see your copy, be sure to check out the cover. Not only is the photo one of mine, but the photo features me motoring my boat up the Wapsipinicon River. I suppose a person could say this was a long-distance selfie image - a picture recorded by my drone. The effort worked!

For my walk this morning I trekked around Big Woods Lake. On arrival I was a bit concerned when I saw three school busses in the parking lot. Then I saw young people hiking, fishing, kayaking, and having a good time in the outdoors. My hesitation transitioned from uncertainty to thankful to see so many young folks outside in our natural world. Good job school district and Black Hawk County Conservation, along with anyone else involved.
