Watching the Season Change
During my morning paddle today, an outing I thought might include fishing but did not, I watched the season change. Conditions on the water were ideal to “park” in one spot to watch leaves fall to the river and then to photograph some of them.

At the same time as autumn leaves were quietly dropping there was crashing in the timber around me. Whitetail does, not yet receptive, were being chased by bucks in the mood for love. I saw quite a few deer, but was able to photograph only this buck that did not seem to know what I was or where his does escaped to. I am sure he found them soon enough after I left that backwater area.

As for leaf color… there is some, but most of the leaves are either shades of green or brown and down. When I did find leaves of color I pointed my Nikon at them. Oh… I did not miss fishing. The scenery was pretty enough to keep me occupied.
Following is some of what I enjoyed!
