Provided For Again

During my outdoor photography presentation at Camp EWALU last week I was asked what my “Picture of the Day” was going to be. My reply was that I hadn’t taken a picture yet, but knew that the Good Lord would provide before the end of the day. After all, I am almost into my 25th year of a “Picture a Day” and have not missed a day yet. Later that day I did shoot pictures - as expected.

Today I was in the same mode - no photo yet and conditions did not appear to support my mission, but I knew something would come up. I stopped to photograph so many geese in a small spot of open water, but was not terribly excited by the results. Then it happened… coming in from the north was the great blue heron that has remained in the area even though we are in the dead of winter. There it was… something special for my picture of the day!

Look at how close the Canada geese are collecting. Please stay healthy!

While out I found this dark phase rough-legged hawk.
